ABC stands for AI-Based Compliance Reports. You upload a reference document (a brief, brand guideline, business-requirements doc, industry standard or regulatory spec), then open an asset in the review tool, point AI at the reference, and get a graded report on every requirement (met / partial / missed) with the exact section it traces to.
Do I need an OpenAI or Anthropic API key?
No. The ABC Report, AI Agent and Team Productivity Report all run on Approval Studio, included in your plan. You only bring your own AI client (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n…) if you want to use the MCP server to chat with your workspace from outside the app.
Which plans include the AI tools?
The MCP server is free on every plan: you bring your own AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, n8n…), and we don't charge a markup. The GraphQL and REST APIs are available on PRO and above, and are not included in LITE. ABC reports, Team Productivity reports, and AI Agent briefings run on our AI tokens, so PRO and PRO XL include a monthly allowance with simple pay-as-you-go pricing for extras. Custom AI Agents built around your specific workflow are available as an add-on.
How does authentication work for MCP?
Every MCP connection uses your personal API token via Bearer auth. The server is scoped to your account only, every action is logged in the project timeline, and you can revoke tokens at any time.
Will AI ever change my data without me asking?
No. The AI Agent only proposes actions; you click Apply. The MCP server only executes the calls your prompt asks for. Every action lands in your project timeline.
