In design review process, everything must be calculated accurately before the mockup goes to production. The tiniest inaccuracies can ruin the project, especially if the design is intended for print.
Besides all annotations and comparison modes, a proficient design proofing software must provide means to avoid it and make sure all the measurements are applied correctly. Approval Studio does it with the help of its ruler feature.
Ruler in Approval Studio
The ruler in our design review software is one of the features that was requested by our clients who work mainly in the product packaging design and printing industries. It proved to be a vital part of the workflow in this sphere, and we hope it will be helpful to you, too.
How the ruler feature works
Open the mockup you need to check in our design review tool and choose the ruler option to take the measurement.
The system will ask you to set the starting and ending points of the area you want to check on your graphic design layout.
With the ruler set, you can choose the measurement units that you prefer out of three available options: inches, centimeters, or millimeters. The system will change results at once depending on your choice.
For files that use graphic formats (.jpg, .png, etc.), the measurement will be done in pixels.
