Release Notes: March 2021

Please welcome the first Approval Studio update of Spring 2021.

This March, we introduce two new features available in Lite and Pro packages. This release is totally inspired by our users, who sent us requests and suggestions on what else they would want to have in Approval Studio.

The first major feature is Spellchecker (Beta). With the help of our review tool, you can check the spelling in your Word and PDF documents, adding your product-specific terms to the custom dictionaries. The spellchecker supports dozens of languages and allows to seamlessly switch between them. In case you didn’t find the necessary language, contact our support team to add the dictionary you need.

Another feature you wanted us to add was the Barcode reader. Our users from the packaging design business and manufacturers wanted to have the ability to check the correctness of barcodes in their designs. No problem! In the review tool, hit the Barcode scanner button, select the area with the barcode, and the system will translate it for you. UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, EAN-13, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, ITF, Codabar, MSI, RSS-14, QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, and PDF-417 file formats are supported. Proofreading the barcodes has never been so easy!

We have also heard that having different types of backgrounds would be helpful. Especially if you are working with transparency. Ok! Choose one of 7 backgrounds for your image to make it easier to notice every detail.

Of course, that’s not all we’ve been working on. We made some cosmetic changes that we hope you would like. But if you don’t – let us know. We keep improving Approval Studio design constantly, and some of our changes go unnoticed, but some of them are met with appreciation. Thank you for all the feedback that you send us. It’s really important to hear your opinion about everything that we do.

Another thing that you would notice with the new version is the Approval Studio dashboard speed improvement. If you have 3-5 projects on your dashboard, you won’t feel the difference. But some of you have dozens of open projects and few dozens of tasks. You would definitely see the difference. We try to increase the system speed with every new release, and the next update will make Approval Studio even faster.

We don’t stop at adding new features and making our existing functionality even more convenient. Do you remember about our Video Review Tool? We made it mobile-friendly, so you could work on your video files from every device.
