Welcome to one of the biggest Approval Studio updates in 2021 so far. Start the drumroll!
As you probably know, our team is constantly working on improving our review tool. We take into account all of the ideas you send us, together with our own vision of making Approval Studio better every day. One of the biggest milestones for the first half of 2021 was creating an official Adobe plug-in compatible with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and now we’re happy to let you know that it’s live!
The extension is an addition to our main design proofing tool, and to work with it, you must be a registered Approval Studio Pro user. You can register using the button below:
Once you are registered, you can get the plugin via this link to Adobe Creative Cloud Exchange or manually from our website absolutely for free. Now, install the plugin, log in to it directly from Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, and begin working with it! Using the plugin, you can:
- Create new projects directly from Adobe products.
- Change existing projects and check their basic project info (name, ID, status, number of approval/change requests, the date of creation, etc.)
- View the thumbnails of the assets with options to upload a new version (provided the name of the file is the same), or check it in the proofing tool via the link that will open Approval Studio in your browser. Each asset also has its own approval/change request counters.
- As Approval Studio Pro package allows users to assign tasks, you can see the pending ones directly from the plugin and complete them from there.
The ability to submit the mockup for a review directly from your Adobe tool is a crucial step in making your design workflow more consistent and efficient. You won’t have to go to your browser first, log in to the tool, search for the file on your device and upload it afterward. It all now can be done at once from your Adobe tool, which ensures the continuity of the creative process and links the production and post-production parts of the workflow.
The plugin is available on macOS and Windows provided you have Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator 2020 or higher. Naturally, we do not want to stop here and are planning to expand the Approval Studio plugin to other Adobe Creative Cloud apps, so stick around for updates on our blog! And, as always, do not hesitate to contact us via chat or at our contact page should you have any questions.
Cheers!
