Model Context Protocol, or MCP, is a standardized way for AI models and agents to connect with any external sources, tools, and services. This protocol defines how AI understands available actions, required permissions, and response formats, making it easier for AI models to take advantage of existing platform capabilities.
MCP can be used to let AI models work with projects, assets, tasks, users, reference documents, and workflows. Based on defined permissions and available actions, AI models can retrieve information or create and update entities according to their type and functional requirements.
